Fast Motion Playback (Picture Search) To scan through the disc when you're playing it, use the Picture Scan feature. 1 Press the ( or ) buttons when you're playing a disc. 2 Press the ( or ) buttons again to increase or decrease speed. 3 Press PLAY PAUSE on the front panel or the play button► on the remote control any time to resume normal playback. You do not hear the sound on a disc when you're using the picture scan feature. Playback features aren't available during the opening credits of a movie. Using the DVD Banner Display The on-screen Banner Display contains many DVD playback features. Each feature is represented with an icon. To view the DVD Banner Display, press INFO while a disc is playing. Press to move through the different features in the Banner Display. When an icon is highlighted, press SELECT or OK to select it. You can only access the Banner Display when you're playing a disc. In addition, the Banner Display features are only available if the disc was created with that particular feature. For example, if you select the S u b t i t l e icon, you cannot change the subtitle language unless the disc was created with multiple subtitle languages.
