Introduction-First Steps Removing Memory Cards Memory cards can be removed without loss of data when the camera is off. Before removing the memory card, wait for the green card access lamp next to the card slot cover to go out and then turn the camera off. Do NOT attempt to remove the card while the access lamp is on. Failure to observe this precaution could result in loss of data or in damage to the camera or card. Open card slot cover and press the eject button to partially eject the card (ᕃ). The card can then be removed by hand (ᕄ). Do not push on the memory card while pressing the eject button. Failure to observe this precaution could damage the memory card. Access lamp Note that memory cards may be hot after use. Observe due caution when removing memory cards from the camera. No Memory Card If no memory card is inserted in the camera when charged batteries are in place or the camera is powered by an AC adapter, will appear in the exposure- count display. 22

Removing Memory Cards
Memory cards can be removed without loss of data when the camera is off.
Before
removing the memory card, wait for the green card access lamp next to the card slot
cover to go out and then turn the camera off.
Do
NOT
attempt to remove the card
while the access lamp is on.
Failure to observe this
precaution could result in loss of data or in damage to
the camera or card.
Open card slot cover and press the
