Image Size Image size refers to the dimensions of the image, measured in pixels. Pictures taken at smaller sizes require less memory, making them suited to distribution by e-mail or the web. Conversely, the larger the image, the larger the size at which it can be printed or displayed without becoming noticeably "grainy." The copy will be saved under a new name with the extension .TIF.
