For bounceflash or close-up photography, the flash head can be rotated through 90 ° above and 7 ° below the horizontal, 180 ° left, and 90 ° right; a wide panel or bounce adapter can be used for a wider flash angle, producing soft lighting that balances the foreground subject with the background.
