Taking Photographs-Focus Focus Area Selection for Portrait (Tall) Orientation Photographs If the shutter-release button for vertical shooting is unlocked, the focus area can also be selected by pressing the AF-ON button for vertical shooting and rotating the sub-command dial for vertical shooting. The selected focus area is displayed in the top control panel and is highlighted briefly in the viewfinder.
