MAINTENANCE CONSUMABLE LIFE EXPECTANCY NOTE When the on-screen display indicates that the toner is low, or if print appears faded, first open the top cover and try tapping the cartridge a few times to evenly distribute the toner powder. This will enable you to obtain the best "yield" from your toner cartridge. As a guide, the life expectancy of these items is: > Toner Starter cartridge: The machine is shipped with sufficient black toner for 1500 sheets (ISO/IEC19752 A4). Replacement cartridge: 3.5k cartridge has a capacity of approximately 3,500 sheets (ISO/IEC19752 A4). If the image drum is also replaced at the same time the capacity is approximately 1,750 sheets (ISO/IEC19752 A4). 7k cartridge has a capacity of approximately 7,000 sheets (ISO/IEC19752 A4).If the image drum is also replaced at the same time the capacity is approximately 5,250 sheets (ISO/IEC19752 A4). 12k cartridge has a capacity of approximately 12000 sheets (ISO/IEC19752 A4).If the image drum is also replaced at the same time the capacity is approximately 10,250 sheets (ISO/IEC19752 A4). > Image drum: Simplex printing on A4 paper yields: > 25,000 pages (approx.) for continuous printing > 20,000 pages (approx.) for 3 pages per job (without power save) > 12,000 pages (approx.) for 1 page per job (without power save) > 7,000 pages (approx.) for 1 page per job (with power save) > Duplex printing on A4 paper yields: > 15,000 pages (approx.) for continuous printing (without power save) > 13,000 pages (approx.) for 6 page per job (without power save) > 10,000 pages (approx.) for 2 page per job (without power save) Maintenance > 109
