5 Applications (Record) Taking pictures with self-timer We recommend using a tripod. This is also effective for correcting jitter when pressing the shutter button, by setting the self timer to 2 seconds. 1 Display 'SELFTIMER' 2 Select time duration SELFTIMER OFF 10SEC. 2SEC. SELECT SET Displayed for approx. 5 sec. Can also be selected with ◄. 3 Take a picture • Focus will be automatically adjusted immediately Press halfway (align focus) before recording if shutter button is pressed fully here. Self-timer indicator (Flashes for set duration) 5 Press fully (Picture taken after selected time elapsed) CANCEL MENU • To cancel while in operation → Press 'MENU/SET' After self-timer lamp stops flashing, it may then be lit for AF assist lamp. This function cannot be used in the 'UNDERWATER' and 'HI-SPEED BURST' scene modes or in MOTION PICTURE mode . In some modes, only '2SEC.' or only '10SEC.' may be selected.
