When an option is selected, 96 kHz or 48 kHz (96 kHz=48 kHz) linear PCM audio is set automatically. When this is selected, 96 kHz linear PCM signals are output from the digital output jack. Note however that it is not possible to output 96 kHz digital audio signals from some discs recorded in 96 kHz. • Don't know: Select this if you do not know whether the amplifier connected to the player is 96 kHz compatible or not. When this is selected, the 96 kHz signals are down-sampled to 48 kHz before being output from the digital output jack.
