03 Connecting your equipment ! Speaker System setting: 7.2.4ch SB Pre out, 7.2.4ch Front Pre out - Speaker Setting TFw: Dolby Sp (Front) and TBw: Dolby Sp (Surr) TBwL SL TFwL TFwR C L R SW1 SW2 TBwR SR SBL SBR - Speaker Setting TFw: Dolby Sp (Front) and TBw: Dolby Sp (SB) TFwL C L SL TBwL SW1 SBL TFwR R SR SW2 TBwR SBR Always use the top forward (TFwL/TFwR) and top backward (TBwL/TBwR) speakers as a combination. When you set either of these speakers to NO in Speaker Setting, the other speaker will also be automatically set to NO. Dolby Enabled Speaker Dolby enabled speakers bring a new sense of height and immersion to the listening experience without installation of overhead speakers. Speaker System setting: 9.2.2ch TMd/FH TMdL TMdR FHL FHR FWL L C R FWR SL SW1 SW2 SR SBL SBR A 9.2.2 ch surround system connects the left and right front speakers (L/R), the center speaker (C), the left and right top middle speakers (TMdL/TMdR), the left and right front height speakers (FHL/FHR), the left and right front wide speakers (FWL/FWR), the left and right surround speakers (SL/SR), the left and right surround back speakers (SBL/SBR), and the subwoofers (SW 1/SW 2). It is not possible to produce sound simultaneously from the top middle speakers and the front height speakers. The speakers from which sound is output can be switched using the OUT P. button. For details, see Switching the speaker terminals on page 93 . Front wide is output from the PRE OUT EXTRA 2 terminals of the receiver. Connect the EXTRA 2 terminal to the external amplifier, and connect the external amplifier to the front wide speaker. It is necessary to connect to any one of the top middle, front height, front wide, or surround back speakers to play Dolby Atmos. [D] 7.2.4 channel surround (Surround back Pre Out) connection ! Speaker System setting: 7.2.4ch SB Pre out TBwL TBwR TFwL TFwR L C R Listener Dolby Enabled Speaker SL SW1 SW2 SR SBL SBR A 7.2.4 ch surround system connects the left and right front speakers (L/R), the center speaker (C), the left and right top forward speakers (TFwL/TFwR), the left and right top backward speakers (TBwL/TBwR), the left and right surround speakers (SL/SR), the left and right surround back speakers (SBL/SBR), and the subwoofers (SW 1/SW 2). Surround back is output from the PRE OUT EXTRA 2 terminals of the receiver. Connect the EXTRA 2 terminal to the external amplifier, and connect the external amplifier to the surround back speaker. It is necessary to connect to any one of the top forward, top backward, or surround back speakers to play Dolby Atmos. 21
