In this case, try switching Video Converter OFF (see Video Converter on page 49). • The signal input resolutions that can be converted from the component video input for the HDMI output are 480i/576i, 480p/576p, 720p and 1080i. 1080p signal cannot be converted. This item incorporates copy protection technology that is protected by U.S. patents and other intellectual property rights of Rovi Corporation. Reverse engineering and disassembly are prohibited. About video outputs connection (VSX-822 only) This receiver is not loaded with a video converter. When you use HDMI cables for connecting to the input device, the same cables should be used for connecting to the TV. The signals input from the analog (composite) video inputs of this unit will not be output from the HDMI OUT terminal. About the video converter (VSX-1022 only)
The video converter ensures that all video sources are output

Note
If several video components are assigned to the same input
function, the converter gives priority to HDMI, component,
then composite (in that order).
