Getting Printer Information over the Network Getting Printer Information over the Network This section explains details of each item displayed in the printer status and information. Current Printer Status 2 The printer status can be checked using the following commands: • UNIX: Use the "stat" parameter and the "rsh", "rcp", "ftp", and "sftp" commands. • mshell: Use the "status" command. • Depending on the printer you are using, some of these messages might not appear. Messages Adjusting... Call Service Center Color Registration Failed Cover Open: Front Cover Cover Open: Left Cover Cover Open: Rear Cover Cover Open: Top Cover Current Job Suspended Empty: Black Toner Empty: Cyan Toner Empty: Magenta Toner Empty: Yellow Toner Energy Saver Mode Error: Ethernet Board Error: HDD Board Error: Optional Font Description The printer is initializing or calibrating. There is a malfunction in the printer. Adjustment of color registration has failed. The front or top cover is open. The left cover is open. The rear cover is open. The top cover is open. Current jobs are suspended. The black toner cartridge is almost empty. The cyan toner cartridge is almost empty. The magenta toner cartridge is almost empty. The yellow toner cartridge is almost empty. The printer is in Energy Saver Mode. An Ethernet board error has occurred. A hard disk board error has occurred. An error has occurred in the font file of the printer. 79
