Troubleshooting ENGLISH I + If you run into any problem using the camcorder, use the following table to troubleshoot the problem. + If these instructions do not allow you to solve the problem, take a note of: • The model and serial number marked on the bottom of the camcorder. • Your warranty, if applicable. ÷ Then contact your nearest authorized service centen Youcannot switch the camcorder on. Start/Stop does not operate while shooting The carncorder goes off automatically, • Check the battery pack (see page 22) or the AC power adaptor, (see page 21) * Check the POWER and LOCK/STANDBY switches, set to CAMERAand STANDBY. • You have reached the end of the cassette. • Check the record protection tab on the cassette, (see page 25) • You have left the camcorder set to STANDBY for more than 5 minutes without using it, (see page 7) • The battery pack is fully exhausted, (see page 24) The battery pack is quickly exhausted. You cannot eject the cassette from the compartment, The DATE_IME indicator flashes more than 2 times when you setthe camcorderto CAMERA, • The atmospheric temperature is too low, (see page 24) • The battery pack has not been charged fully. (see page 23) • The battery pack is completely dead, and cannot be recharged. Use another battery pack. • The battery pack is exhausted fully, • A mechanical fault may have occurred. (see page 50) • The lithium battery is not installed or exhausted fully. (see page 20) The playback picture is of poor quality, • The video heads may be dirty.
