Setup items The Setup screen appears when you advance to in the menu and press B again. Default settings are indicated with x. (Camera) Item AF Mode Digital Zoom Date/Time Setting xSingle / Monitor Smart / xPrecision Day&Time / Date / xOff Red Eye Reduction AF Illuminator Auto Review On / xOff xAuto / Off On / xOff Description Selects the focus operation mode (page 50). Selects the digital zoom mode (page 27). Selects whether to insert the date and time into the image (page 32). When shooting movies or images recorded in Multi Burst mode, the date and time cannot be inserted in the image. Also, the date and time will not be displayed when shooting. The date and time will be displayed when the image is played back. Reduces the red-eye phenomenon when using a flash (page 30). Selects whether to emit an AF fill light in the dark. Helps when it is hard to focus on the subject under dark lighting (page 31). When shooting still images, selects whether to display the image just after you shoot a still image. Setting this to [On] displays the recorded images for about two seconds. During this time, you cannot shoot the next image. Additional information (Memory Stick Tool) Item Format Setting OK / Cancel Create REC. Folder Change REC. Folder OK / Cancel OK / Cancel Description Formats the "Memory Stick." Note that formatting erases all data on a "Memory Stick," including even protected images (page 43). Creates a folder for recording images (page 47). Changes a folder for recording images (page 48). 109
