Zoom ring Notes Do not grab or apply a strong force to the lens cylinder that rolls out when zooming. The lens may be damaged. Adjusting the focus manually If the lens has a focusing ring, you can adjust the focus manually by turning it to the right or left. Press FOCUS to set focusing mode to manual. appears on the LCD screen in manual focusing mode. FOCUS button Use this function in the following cases. To record a subject behind a window covered with raindrops. To record horizontal stripes. To record a subject with little contrast between the subject and its background. When you want to focus on a subject in the background. To record a stationary subject using a tripod. To measure the exact distance to the subject Lens mount Search image Index 18 mm (23/32 in.) The mark shows the location of the image sensor*. When you measure the exact distance between the camcorder and the subject, refer to the position of the line.
