The Walkman plays tracks by folder as a default. 1 Hold down the button ( ) for 3 seconds to select the desired range. Each time you hold down the button ( ) for 3 seconds, you will hear the voice guidance and the playback range will change in the following order. [Folder Mode] - [Playlist Mode] - [Album Mode] - [Folder Mode]... To switch to the next playback range, wait until the voice guidance ends. Folder Mode The Walkman plays tracks by folder. Folders are groups of tracks that you can view in Windows Explorer or Mac Finder. Playlist Mode The Walkman plays tracks by playlist. Create playlists using software (such as Media Go or iTunes) in order to play tracks in your desired order. If you have not transferred any playlists, you cannot select this range. Album Mode The Walkman plays tracks by album. Albums are groups of tracks that are organized based on album information. Note You cannot change the playback range during playback in the Headphone mode. 63

Changing the playback range (folder/playlist/album)
You can change the playback range. The Walkman plays tracks by folder as a default.
Note
You cannot change the playback range during playback in the Headphone mode.
Hold down the button (
) for 3 seconds to select the desired range.
Each time you hold down the button (
) for 3 seconds, you will hear the voice guidance and the playback range will
change in the following order.
[Folder Mode] – [Playlist Mode] – [Album Mode] – [Folder Mode]...
To switch to the next playback range, wait until the voice guidance ends.
Folder Mode
The Walkman plays tracks by folder. Folders are groups of tracks that you can view in Windows Explorer or Mac Finder.
Playlist Mode
The Walkman plays tracks by playlist. Create playlists using software (such as Media Go or iTunes) in order to play
tracks in your desired order. If you have not transferred any playlists, you cannot select this range.
