Step 1: Charging your Sony CLIE Handheld Note Before you use your CLIE handheld for the first time, make sure to charge it. You can charge your CLIE handheld by connecting the supplied AC adapter directly to your CLIE handheld. The AC adapter operates only on 110-240 V AC power supply. It takes about 3 hours for your CLIE handheld to be fully charged for the first time. Subsequent charges, if it is charged frequently, will require less time. To the wall outlet Connect the AC adapter to the CLIE interface connector. When the AC adapter is connected to your CLIE handheld, charging starts automatically and the battery icon on the screen changes to the battery charging icon ( ). To remove the AC adapter from your CLIE handheld Squeeze both sides of the connector and pull it out. Note If the internal battery of your CLIE handheld runs out, the data stored in your CLIE handheld will be erased. 22
