n 209 N Troubleshooting Speakers What should I do if my speakers do not work? ❑ Make sure your speakers are properly connected and the volume is turned up loud enough to hear sound. ❑ Make sure your speakers are designed for computer use. ❑ If your speakers have a muting button, set the button to off. ❑ The speaker volume may have been turned off. Press the muting button on your computer. ❑ If you have connected an audio cable to the headphones jack, disconnect the cable and use the speaker cable supplied with your speakers. ❑ If you are using battery power, make sure the battery pack is installed properly and is charged. ❑ If your speakers require external power, make sure the speakers are connected to a power source. See the manual that came with your speakers for more information. What should I do if I cannot hear sound from my speakers? ❑ If your computer is using battery power, make sure the battery pack is properly installed and is charged. ❑ If you are using a program that has its own volume control, make sure the volume control is properly set.
