Rectify problems that have caused fouling of spark plug: - too much oil in fuel mix, - dirty air filter, - unfavorable running conditions, e.g. operating at part load. Installing the spark plug N Install the spark plug and connect the spark plug boot (press it down firmly) - reassembly all other parts in the reverse sequence. English Replacing the Starter Rope and Rewind Spring Removing the Rewind Starter 1 000BA071 KN 3006BA014 KN 1 2 WARNING To reduce the risk of fire and burn injury, use only spark plugs authorized by STIHL. Always press spark plug boot (1) snugly onto spark plug terminal (2) of the proper size. (Note: If terminal has detachable SAE adapter nut, it must be securely attached.) A loose connection between spark plug boot and ignition wire connector in the boot may create arcing that could ignite combustible fumes and cause a fire. 1 1 N Take out the screws (1). N Ease the fan housing away from the engine housing and remove it sideways. Releasing Tension on Rewind Spring Always release tension on rewind spring before working on the rewind starter. The system will not be under tension if either the starter rope or rewind spring is broken. MS 150 TC 35
