This example also shows how the display can be removed from scientific notation format. The displayed rim number must be in the range 1- -1 x 10" to 1-1 x10'. After a number entry, press rje then an operation key or equals to produce a result in standard display format. Once in scientific notation. the calculator will remain in scientific notation format until FeW is pressed or the above procedure performed. Exponential Shift The ief-cf, key can be used to alter the appearance of the displayed number without changing its value.
