Chapter 3: Using the remote control Learning about the Remote Control Only the buttons used to operate the TV are described in this section. For the HDMI® CEC Control functions, see "Using HDMI® CEC Control" (- p. 48). For a complete list of the remote's functions, see "Remote control functional key chart" (- p. 87-97). Changes the picture mode to Game when the input mode is ColorStream HD, PC, VIDEO, or HDMI® (- p. 57). Sets the remote control mode to control the device: TV, CABLE/SAT, BD/DVD, or AUX. To control the TV, press TV. Then the keypad blinks 3 times. When the Auto Input feature is set, you can use these keys to change inputs on the TV (- p. 33). Enters 2-part channel numbers (- p. 41) / Edits the Favorites List (- p. 42). Turns the TV on and off. Illuminates the keypad for five seconds. Tunes channels directly. Selects the video input source (- p. 43). Accesses the Quick menu. Reduces or turns off the sound (- p. 61). Adjusts the volume level. Displays the NET TV™ menu (- p. 69). Accesses Netflix (- p. 70). Accesses the main TV menu system (- p. 27-28). Opens the Channel Browser™ (- p. 41) / Scrolls to left. When a menu is onscreen, these buttons select or adjust programming menus. Returns to the previous menu. Cycles through programmed channels. Returns to the last viewed channel or source (- p. 43). Displays TV status information as well as program details, when available (p. 53). Displays/hides the Yahoo!®TV Widgets user interface (- p. 71). Displays the Favorites Browser (- p. 42) / Scrolls to right. Closes onscreen menus. Moves to the previous/next page. Activates highlighted items in the main menu system. Accesses the sleep timer (- p. 52). Selects the picture size (- p. 54). Opens the closed caption selector (- p. 44). Selects the audio mode. Freezes the picture (- p. 56). Switches 3D, 2D, 2D to 3D, or Native mode (- p. 37). These buttons are used for BD/DVD, CABLE/SAT, and VCR mode. Note: The error message "NOT AVAILABLE" may appear if you press a key for a function that is not available. 25
