Error messages and troubleshooting Possible Error Messages (Main Unit) The gigabeat may display the following error messages. Take appropriate action by referring to the instructions below. Message Content and Corrective Action UNSUPPORTED DATA The format of the selected data cannot be played on the gigabeat. Use gigabeat room to transfer the data. UNABLE TO READ DISK Reformat the built-in hard disk to the FAT32 format. Use the gigabeat format. (>p.149) NO DATA FOUND Transferring tracks to the gigabeat. DATA ERROR The selected data is damaged. Use gigabeat room to transfer the data. FAILED TO OPEN The track could not be opened and played. Use gigabeat room to transfer the data. RECHARGE BATTERY There is insufficient power remaining in the built-in battery. Connect the AC adapter and charge the battery. NO SYSTEM FOUND ON HDD The gigabeat cannot be started because the firmware on the hard disk has been destroyed. Restore the firmware. The gigabeat may display the following error messages. Take appropriate action by
referring to the instructions below.

The format of the selected data cannot be played on
the gigabeat. Use gigabeat room to transfer the data.
UNABLE TO READ DISK
Reformat the built-in hard disk to the FAT32 format.
