158 Toshiba Utilities TOSHIBA Console The Power Save Modes tab shows the power usage modes for both AC power ("Plugged in") and battery power (Running on batteries"). You can either use one of the preset modes or create and use your own customized mode. The preset modes cannot be deleted. By changing the options that appear in the Toshiba Power Saver Properties window and clicking OK, you can reconfigure that function. Any options that you change become effective when you click either OK or Apply. Plugged in section This section has a single preset power usage mode - Full Power. You can create other AC power modes, but Toshiba recommends use of the preset Full Power mode. The windows and settings for creating and customizing AC power modes are described below. Running on batteries section This section lists the preset modes along with the estimated battery life for each mode. The preset modes are: ❖ Long Life ❖ Normal ❖ High Power ❖ DVD Playback ❖ Presentation ❖ Super Long Life Although you can change the properties for any of these modes, this is not recommended. If you need a customized mode, create a new mode with the properties you require.
