40 Finding Your Way Around Front with the display closed Front with the display closed Display latch CD/DVD System CD/DVD control indicator control buttons panel buttons Volume control dial The CD/DVD control buttons allow you to play audio CDs when the computer is turned off. You can also use them to play CDs and DVDs with the computer turned on. For a description of these controls, see "CD/DVD control buttons" on page 48. The display latch keeps the display panel closed and locked. To open the display panel, slide the display latch and raise the panel. The system indicator panel is a series of lights that glow when certain functions are being performed by the system. For more information, see "System indicator panel" on page 47. The volume control dial lets you adjust how loud the sound is on your computer. To turn the volume up, turn the dial to the right. To turn the volume down, turn the dial to the left.
