Cooling System When you decide it's safe tolift the hood, here's what you'll see: (A) Coolant surge tankwith pressure cap (B) Electric engine fan 'he coolant level should be ator above TJLL COLD. f it isn't, you may have a leak in the adiator hoses, heater hoses, radiator, dater pump or somewhere else in the ooling system. Engine damagefrom runni engine without coolant isn' covered by your warranty. there seems to be no leak, check to 1/r\ - b A UI I V I V An electric fan under the hood b can start up even when the engine is not running and can injure you. Keep hands, clothing and tools away from any underhood electric fan. [f the coolant inside the coolant surge tank is boiling, don'tdo anything else A until it cools down. Heater and radiator hoses, and other engine parts, can be very hot. Don't touch them. If you do, you can be burned. Don't run the engine if there is a leak. If you run the engine, it could lose all coolant. That could cause an engine fire, and you could be burned. Get any leak fixed before you drive the vehicle. x if the electric engine fan is running. C the engine is overheating, the fan hould be running. If it isn't, your chicle needs service. 181
