Starter Switch Check Brake-Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) Check (Automatic Transmission) r A CAUTION: When you are doing this check, the vehicle could move suddenly.If it does, youor others couldbe injured. On automatic
transmission
vehicles,
try
to
start
the
engine

should work

in

If the
starter
works

your
vehicle
needs
service.
On

transmission
vehicles,

the
shift
lever
in
NEUTRAL
(N),
push the
clutch
down

to start
the

should work

pushed
down
all
the
way
to

down,
your
vehicle
needs
service.
