Lockout Prevention(If Equipped) To protect you f o locking your keys in the vehicle, rm this feature stops the power door locks locking from when the keys are in the ignition a door is open. and If the powerlock switch is pressed when a door is open, a chime willsound five timesas a reminder to take the keys outof the ignition before locking the door. Remote Keyless Entry System Leaving Your Vehicle If you are leaving the vehicle, take your keys, open your door and set the locks from inside. Then get out and close the door. If your vehiclehas this option, you canlock and unlock your doorsor unlock your hatch from about 3 feet (1 m) up to about30 feet (9 m) away using the remote keyless entry transmitter supplied with your vehicle. 2-6
