Zones A New Concept The Lifestyle" music center is designed to provide you with thehighest qualitymusic foryourhome.Inaddition, itcandelivermusic tomarethanoneroanat a time.In fact,itsfull range of sophisticated functions canbecalledupanywhere, with the simpleadditionofpowered speakers inother areasof your home! Traditional audio systems serve only every limited area. Now, with your Lifestylemusiccenter,youcandirect sound from any two sound sources(suchas CD.tuner,or tape player), or the same source for two different listening areas simultaneously. Proprietary electrical circuitry designed by Boses is whatmakes thispossible.Itprovidesyou thefreedomtoplay differentmusic in differentareas of yourhome simultaneously, withallof the control youneed. Each listeningroan(orcombinationof rooms)isreferred toin thismanualas a "zone (seeFig.3). Any partof your home can becomea listening zone, includingsome ofyour outdoor spaces! you

the

In
addition,
it
can
de-
liver
music
to
mare
than
one
roan
at
a
time.
In
fact,
its
full
range
of
sophisticated
functions
can
be
called
up
anywhere,
with
the
simple
addition
of
powered
speakers
in
other
areas
of
your
home!
Traditional
audio
systems
serve
only
every
limited
area.
Now,
with
your
Lifestyle
music
center,
you
can
direct
sound
from
any
two
sound
sources
(such
as
CD.
tuner,
or
tape
player),
or
the
same
source
for
two
different
listening
areas
simultane-
ously.
Proprietary
electrical
circuitry
designed
by
Boses
is
what
makes
this
possible.
It
provides
you
the
freedom
to
play
different
music
in
different areas
of
your
home
simultaneously,
with
all
of
the
control
you
need.
Each
listening
roan
(or
combination
of
rooms)
is
referred
to
in
this
manual
as
a
"zone
(see
Fig.
3).
Any
part
of
your
home
can
become
a
listening
zone,
including
some
of
your
outdoor
spaces!
Figure

shows
some
ways
of

For

primary
listening
area,
might
consist
of
a
hong
room.
family
room,
or
den.
Here
you
would
use

Acoustimasst
powered
speaker
system
and
the

Center,
though

necessary
for
them
to
remain
in
the
same
room.
Zone
2.
the
secondary
zone,
may
be
assigned
to
an
area
(room
or
rooms)
where
music
is
a
less
concentrated
activity.
This
might
be
your
kitchen,
bedroom
or
study.
Here
you
would
use
either
a
coapact
Base
Lifestyle
powered
speaker
systemora
second
Acoustimass
powered
speaker
system.
The
signals
to
the
two
zones
are
separate
line
outputs
from
the
Music
Center.
They
are
functionally
identical
in
every
impor-
tant
regard.
so
either
zone
may
be
assigned
to any
powered
speaker
system
or
systems.
The
zones
are
controlled
inde-
pendently
by
commands
from
either
the
Music
Center
or
the
remote
control.
