music

center's

controls

for

the

most

part

du-

plicate

those

found

on

the

remote

control.

Generally,

you

will

find

the

remote

control

to

be

the

most

convenient

means

of

control

for

the

system

(see

"The

Remote

Control"

sec-

tion).

The

Music

Center

controls

may

be

used

as

an

alterna-

tive

when

the

remote

control

is

not

nearby.

Some

controls

are

located

beneath

the

Music

Centers

lid

see

Fig.

9).

To

open,

press

the

latch

located

at

the

center

of

its

f

ont

edge.

Close

the

lid

by

pressing

down

gently

until

the

latch

clicks.

the

control

panel

keys,

OFF,

turn

the

Music

Center

on

Zone

1.

The

display

will

indicate

the

last

selected

radio

station

in

tuner

mode,

unless

the

CD.

TAPE,

AUX.

or

VIDEO

key

is

used

to

turn

the

unit

on

in

a

preferred

mode.

Selects

a

zone

for

Center

control

and

The

system

normally

switches

on

to

Zone

1

when

any

key

is

pressed.

The

ZONE

key

switches

Music

Center

control

and

display

to

Zone

2

for

approximately

sec-

onds:

both

then

revert

to

Zone

1.

To

gain

Zone

2

control

and

display

again,

simply

press

the

ZONE

key

once

again.

Functions

and

commands

issued

for

one

zone

have

no

effect

on

a

source

playing

in

the

alternate

zone.

If

the

Lifestyle

music

center

is

initially

turned

on

by

Zone

2

commands

from

the

remote

control,

Music

Center

control

and

display

will

both

remain

in

Zone

2

mode

without

switching.

However,

when

Zone

1

is

called

into

action

(for

use

of

the

same

source

or

another),

Music

Center

control

and

display

will

revert

to

the

Zone

1

mode.

TUNER

A/

TUNER

V

:

Preset

Mode.

In

preset

mode,

you

may

select

the

next

preset

radio

station,

up

or

down

in

sequence,

from

those

that

have

been

preprogrammed.

(These

keys

will

skip

to

the

next

preprogrammed

station.)

Tuning.
