To Skip Forward:Toskipaheadone track,press the eel SKIP(forward skip-)key once.Thenext track will begin to play. The display will change to show the next track and the new track's elapsed time. To skip aheadmore thanone track. ep.eress the eel SKIPmore thanonce. verse Skip: To skip to the beginningof thecurrent press the 1441SKIP(reverse skip)keyonce. To skip back to the previous track, pressN1SKIPtwice. Toskip back more than one track, press theHill SKIPkey more than t,,v cc. For Audible Fast Forward/Reverse: To Move quickly withina track,hold clown the 044. FF -4 4 FR key. A clicking sound will beheardas thelaser pickup iniples the disc ata higherrate. Youcanmove past track boundaries by using either key. The display will update track and time data. You maymoveaheador back inaudibly by first selectingpause with thePLAY/ PAUSE ell key. ToRepeat Track:Toplay a track over and over. press REPEAT-T while the track is playing or while the CD player is pausedon thedesired track.Therepeat icon 0 will flash in the display window toindicate track repeat isengaged. Track repeat will continueuntilswitched off entirely,or until cancelled. To cancel repeat, skip to the next track by pressing Rise FF.orpress 444 FR toheara fullrepeat onelast time. ToRepeat Disc: Torepeatanentire disc, pressREPEAT-O anytime the CD player is in use (playing, paused, or stopped). The Repeat icon c, will light continuously in the display window, to indicatedisc repeat is engaged. Disc repeat willcontinue until the system is switched off entirely, or until STOP is ad. RandomPlay: Press theRANDOMkeyany time the CDmode isinuse tohear a disc's tracks inrandomsequence. Thisdisc willrepeat(effectively,disc repeat) witha new random sequenceeach time,untilSTOPis presseda theunit is switched off. ForIntroPlay:Press the INTRO key tohear the first 10secondsofeach track on thedisc innormal sequence. Thismay beused topreview contents,or tolocatea specific selection. For longer or shorter intro play, first key the desired durationin seconds(1.59 seconds)using thenumeric keys. thenpress the INTRO key. For example: Press 3, 0, INTRO." The first30secondsof each track on the disc willplayin sequence. To cancelIntro play: Press INTRO atanypoint.Normal playbackmill commence from thecurrent track. Programming the Compact Disc Player The MusicCenter'scompact disc player can continuously repeata favorite track or disc. Itmay alsobe programmed to playCD tracksinany order youchoose. Up to20 tracks can be programmed in a sequence. ToProgramPlay: With the player in the stopmode(alter pressing STOP), press the track number of the first track in a desired sequenceusing thenumeric keys. Thedisplay will flash this tracknumber for about five(5)seconds.While the number is flashing, press SET to store the first programmed selection.Repeat for additional tracks youwish to program,in sequence.up toa maximumof 20tracks. Note:A track may beprogrammedmore thanonce, atany point Oa sequence. A nonexistent track selection (for example:track 11ona disc with only 10tracks)willbe displayed, but notprogrammed. Press the PLAY / PAUSE ell key to play the programmed sequence. It will begin with the first track entered, in the sequence you programmed. Playback will stop after the last programmed track Note: Youmayprograma sequence whilea discisplaying in thenormalplayback mode. Startplaybackofthepro°rammedsequencebypressing the PLAY/ PAUSEPoll key following normalplaya useof theSTOPkey Example: Toprograma sequencedtracks 71.3. 10press the following keys: 7-SET-1-SET-3-SET-1-aSET ToCheck YourProgram:Press CHECK to displaythe program number andits first programmed selection. Press CHECK again toview the track programmedas the second selection, again for the third,and so on. Youmay check a programmed sequencewhile the disc plays. Example: Tosee theprogram enteredin the lastexample. press CHECK. Thedisplay willshow Track 7P-1. Press CHECKagain. Thedisplay willshow: Track-1 P-2, andsoon. To Cancel a Program: With the CD player in stop mode. pressCLEAR tocancelanentire programmed sequence. After clearing, thePLAY/ PAUSE 011key will revert tonormal playbackonly. To deleteindividual tracks froma sequence, press CHECK one or more times to call up the unwanted track/programnumberson the display. ThenpressCLEAR while theunwanted track number is displayed. Youmay repeat this procedure todeletemore thanone track froma program. • 22
