Upper Threading CAUTION Turn off the power to the machine before threading the upper thread. Otherwise, it may cause injuries if you unintentionally press down on the foot controller. Upper Threading
Before threading the machine, prepare it as described below.

Raise the presser foot lever.

Turn the handwheel toward you until the thread take-up lever is positioned
as shown in the diagram.
The needle is raised to it's highest position.

Pass the thread through the triangular hole of the thread guide bar. (page 12)
