Using the Optional RC-V100 Remote Controller Using the Optional RC-V100 Remote Controller You can connect the optional RC-V100 Remote Controller to the camera's REMOTE A terminal or REMOTE B terminal in order to control the camera (including advanced recording functions) from a distance. In addition to turning the camera on and off and navigating the menu, you can control various shooting related functions such as aperture and shutter speed, and custom picture settings like knee and sharpness. When you use the REMOTE B terminal to connect the RC-V100, the camera can receive and process multiple simultaneous commands from the remote controller. For details on how to connect and use the remote controller, refer to its instruction manual. 123 To the RC-V100's REMOTE A terminal To the RC-V100's REMOTE B terminal RR-10 or RR-100 8-pin Remote Cable (optional) Remote cable (supplied with the RC-V100) 1 Turn off the camera and connect the optional RC-V100 Remote Controller to the camera. • Make sure that the remote controller's terminal selection switch is set to match the terminal to be used on the camera. 2 Turn on the camera and open the [REMOTE Term.] submenu. [System Setup] (B) > [REMOTE Term.] 3 Select [RC-V100 (REMOTE A)] or [RC-V100 (REMOTE B)] depending on the terminal used and then press SET. Options [RC-V100 (REMOTE A)] or [RC-V100 (REMOTE B)], depending on the terminal used: Select this option to use the optional RC-V100 Remote Controller connected to the corresponding REMOTE terminal. [Standard]: Select this option to use commercially available remote controls. NOTES • The following controls on the remote controller will not operate the camera: AGC button and AUTO KNEE button. • The AUTO IRIS button on the remote controller will have an effect only when a compatible EF lens (A 240) is attached to the camera. • The ZOOM dial on the remote controller will have an effect only when a compatible EF Cinema/broadcast lens (A 240) is attached to the camera. • Adjusting custom picture related settings with the remote controller will have an effect only when the editing of the custom picture file's detailed settings ([Other Settings] > [Activate]) is enabled (A 131). • The REMOTE A and REMOTE B terminals cannot be used at the same time.
