Charging the Battery Pack Charging times Charging the supplied BP-2L5 Battery Pack will take approximately 2 hours 20 minutes. See Charging Times ( ( 171) for details. 170), Recording and Playback Times IMPORTANT • The battery pack will be charged only when the camcorder is off. • Turn off the camcorder before disconnecting the compact power adapter. After turning off the camcorder, important data is updated in the memory. Be sure to wait until the ON/OFF (CHG) indicator goes out. • The first time you use a battery pack, fully charge it and then use the camcorder until the battery pack is completely exhausted. • Do not connect to the camcorder's DC IN terminal or to the compact power adapter any electrical equipment that is not expressly recommended for use with this camcorder. • Do not connect the supplied compact power adapter to voltage converters or special power sources such as those on aircraft, DC-AC inverters, etc. 20
