Quick Start Function IMPORTANT • Do not disconnect the power source during standby mode (while the ON/ OFF (CHG) indicator is lit in orange). NOTES • If you close the LCD panel under some circumstances (for example while the memory card slot cover is open or when the battery charge is too low), the camcorder may not enter the standby mode. Check that the indicator changes to orange. • The camcorder will power off automatically if left in standby mode for 10 minutes. In that case, press POWER to turn on the camcorder. You can select the length of time until shut-off or turn off the Quick Start function. See [Power Saving Mode] ( 138) for details. • You can use the Quick Start function also in the flexible recording mode in the same manner. 34
