Z 5 Press the Z key without enter- ing a numeric value. This operation converts the subtotal (including tax) dollar value into yen by applying a preprogrammed exchange rate. The result is shown on the display but not printed on the receipt or journal. 50-Z 5 Enter the amount tendered in yen and press the Z key. This op- eration converts the entered yen amount into dollars by applying a preprogrammed exchange rate. The result is shown on the display. a 5 Press to finalize the transaction. Note that you do not need to reenter the dollar amount. The register automatically calculates the change amount due in dollars and shows it on the display, receipts and journal.
