Removing a Drive from the Drive Cage 10. Reconfigure the computer, if necessary. Refer to Appendix B, "Computer Setup Utilities," for more information. ✎ If you have installed a second diskette drive (B), you will need to reconfigure the computer, using Computer Setup, to recognize the B drive. Choose the Storage/Diskette Drives option, to enable the drive and select the drive size. 11. If you normally lock the Smart Cover Lock, use Computer Setup to relock the lock and enable the Smart Cover Sensor. 1. If you have locked the Smart Cover Lock, use Computer Setup to unlock the lock and disable the Smart Cover Sensor. 2. Shut down the operating system properly, turn off the computer, disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet, and remove the computer cover. 3. Grasp the top of the tilt drive cage and rotate it to its upright position. 4. Disconnect the drive power and signal cables and, if it is a CD-ROM drive, disconnect the audio connector. CAUTION: Before completing the following step, note that the drive slides easily out of the drive cage. Do not allow the drive to strike a hard surface as it exits the drive cage. If you have installed a second diskette drive (B), you will
need to reconfigure the computer, using Computer Setup,
to recognize the B drive. Choose the Storage/Diskette
Drives option, to enable the drive and select the drive size.

Sensor.
2. Shut down the operating system properly, turn off the
computer, disconnect the power cord from the electrical
outlet, and remove the computer cover.

Grasp the top of the tilt drive cage and rotate it to its

Disconnect the drive power and signal cables and, if it is
