8 Configuring Advanced Settings This chapter contains the following sections to help you configure your D-Link Unified Access System network: • Creating, Configuring, and Managing AP Profiles • Configuring Global Settings • Enabling SNMP Traps • Configuring QoS Creating, Configuring, and Managing AP Profiles Access point configuration profiles are a useful feature for large wireless networks with APs that serve a variety of different users. You can create multiple AP profiles on the D-Link Unified Switch to customize APs based on location, function, or other criteria. Profiles are like templates., and once you create an AP profile, you can apply that profile to any AP that the Unified Switch manages. For each AP profile, you can configure the following features: • Global RADIUS settings • MAC authentication list • Radio settings • Network settings • QoS configuration Figure 68 shows ten APs that are managed by a D-Link Unified Switch in a campus network.
