None - No user authentication is used. Password (0-32 Characters) - Modifies the user-defined password for a group. Passwords can contain a maximum of 32 alphanumeric characters. Authentication Key (MD5-16; SHA-20 hexa chars) - Defines the HMAC-MD5-96 or HMAC-SHA-96 authentication level. The authentication and privacy keys are entered to define the authentication key. If only authentication is required, 16 bytes are defined for MD5. If both privacy and authentication are required, 32 bytes are defined for MD5. Each byte in hexadecimal character strings is two hexadecimal digits. Each byte can be separated by a period or a colon. Privacy Key (16 hexa characters) - If only authentication is required, 20 bytes are defined. If both privacy and authentication are required, 16 bytes are defined. Adding Users to a Group 1 Open the SNMPv3 User Security Model page. 2 Click Add. The Add SNMPv3 User Name page opens. Figure 1-17. Displaying the User Security Model Table 1 Open the SNMPv3 User Security Model (USM) page. 2 Click Show All. The User Security Model Table opens. 25
