Scanning a Document or Photo You can use your product to scan a photo or document and save it on your computer. Note: For detailed scanning instructions, see the online User's Guide. Scanning With Epson Scan Software You can scan from any TWAIN-compliant application using Epson Scan. Or you can start Epson Scan directly from your computer and save your image to a file. Note: For Mac OS X 10.6, see "Scanning With Mac OS X 10.6" below. 1. Place your original facedown on the glass, as shown on page 6. 2. Do one of the following to start Epson Scan: ■ Windows: Double-click the EPSON Scan icon on your desktop. ■ Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5: Double-click EPSON Scan in the Applications folder. ■ If you are scanning from an application, start your application. Then open the File menu, choose Import or Acquire, and select your Epson product. You see the Epson Scan window: Epson Scan opens in Office Mode the first time you use it. (You can change the scan mode using the Mode selector in the upper right corner.) 3. Click the Scan button. The image is scanned and you see its icon in Windows Explorer or Mac Finder. Scanning With Mac OS X 10.6 You can scan original documents and photos and save them as files on your computer. 1. Open an image editing application such as Image Capture and select your product from the DEVICES or SHARED list, if necessary. 2. If you would like to select scan settings, such as Color Restoration and file save settings, click Show Details. 3. Click the Scan button to begin scanning. Scanning With Epson Scan Software
You can scan from any TWAIN-compliant application using Epson Scan. Or you can start
Epson Scan directly from your computer and save your image to a file.
Note:
For Mac OS X 10.6, see “Scanning With Mac OS X 10.6” below.
1.
Place your original facedown on the glass, as shown on page 6.
2.
Do one of the following to start Epson Scan:
Windows
: Double-click the
EPSON Scan
icon on your desktop.
Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5
: Double-click
EPSON Scan
in the Applications
folder.
If you are scanning from an application, start your application. Then open the
File
menu, choose
Import
or
Acquire,
and select your Epson product.
You see the Epson Scan window:

Click the
Scan
button. The image is scanned and

Scanning With Mac OS X 10.6
You can scan original documents and photos and save them as files on your computer.
1.
Open an image editing application such as Image Capture and select your product
from the DEVICES or SHARED list, if necessary.
2.
If you would like to select scan settings, such as Color Restoration and file save
settings, click
Show Details
.
3.
Click the
Scan
button to begin scanning. Your image is saved to the folder selected in
the Scan To pop-up menu.
