Fan and duct assembly To remove the fan with duct, use this procedure and illustration. Before removing the and duct assembly, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 18). 2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 19). Remove the fan and duct assembly: 1. Lift the duct (1) straight up and out of the computer. 2. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board connector labeled CHFAN (2). To install the fan and duct assembly, reverse the removal procedure. When installing the assembly, be sure to slide the tabs on the front of the assembly into the clips on the inside front of the computer chassis. Memory modules (DIMMs) To remove the memory modules, use this information and procedures. The memory sockets on the system board are populated with at least one preinstalled memory module. To achieve the maximum memory support, you can populate the system board with up to 128 GB of memory configured in a high-performing dual-channel mode. Fan and duct assembly
To remove the fan with duct, use this procedure and illustration.
Before removing the and duct assembly, follow these steps:

Remove the fan and duct assembly:
1.
Lift the duct

straight up and out of the computer.

Disconnect the fan cable from the system board connector labeled CHFAN

To install the fan and duct assembly, reverse the removal procedure.

Memory modules (DIMMs)
To remove the memory modules, use this information and procedures.
The memory sockets on the system board are populated with at least one preinstalled memory module.
To achieve the maximum memory support, you can populate the system board with up to 128 GB of
memory configured in a high-performing dual-channel mode.
