3. Remove the port and cable assembly (3) from the computer. To replace the serial port, reverse this procedure. Serial port C/D To remove the serial port assembly, use this procedure and illustration. Before removing the serial port assembly, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 18). 2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 19). Remove the serial port assembly: 1. Remove the four hex screws (1) from the back of the computer. 2. Disconnect the cable from the COMB connector (2) on the system board. 3.
