Slide the system board (2) toward the front of the computer enough to remove the connectors from the back of computer, and then lift the system board (3) out of the computer. To install the system board, reverse the removal procedure. NOTE: When replacing the system board, you must change the chassis serial number in the BIOS. When replacing the system board, you must reprogram the SMBIOS information about the affected computer. Failure to reprogram the board will result in eventual failure, such as an activation failure (when you would have to reactivate the computer) or a system recovery failure.
