Removal and Replacement Procedures Power Supply WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the equipment: • Unplug the power cord before removing the power supply from the server. • Install the power supply before connecting the power cord to the power supply. CAUTION: When sliding the power supply out of the chassis, use one hand to support the weight of the power supply. To remove the component: 1. Power down the server. Refer to "System Power Down" in this chapter. 2. Remove the front bezel. Refer to "Front Bezel" in this chapter. 3. Remove the access panel. Refer to "Access Panel" in this chapter. 4. Remove the air baffle, as needed to access power supply connectors. Refer to "Air Baffle" in this chapter. 5. Disconnect all power cables from the devices and system board. 6. Remove the power supply: a. Remove the four screws securing the power supply to the rear of the chassis. b. Slide the power supply forward. c. Lift the power supply from the chassis. To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure. Removal and Replacement Procedures
Power Supply
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the equipment:
Unplug the power cord before removing the power supply from the server.
Install the power supply before connecting the power cord to the power supply.
CAUTION:
When sliding the power supply out of the chassis, use one hand to support the
weight of the power supply.
To remove the component:
1.
Power down the server. Refer to “System Power Down” in this chapter.
2.
Remove the front bezel. Refer to “Front Bezel” in this chapter.
3.
Remove the access panel. Refer to “Access Panel” in this chapter.
4.
Remove the air baffle, as needed to access power supply connectors. Refer to “Air
Baffle” in this chapter.
5.
Disconnect all power cables from the devices and system board.
6.
Remove the power supply:
a.
Remove the four screws securing the power supply to the rear of the chassis.
b.
Slide the power supply forward.
c.
Lift the power supply from the chassis.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
