Diagnostic Tools To install the SmartStart software: 1. Press the F9 key to run RBSU and configure the primary operating system. 2. Locate the SmartStart CD in the HP ProLiant Essentials Foundation Pack. 3. After you power up the server, press the CD-ROM drive eject button. 4. Insert the SmartStart CD into the CD-ROM drive with the labeled side up. Handle the CD by its edges, not by the flat surfaces of the disc. 5. When the busy indicator turns green, the SmartStart sequence begins. Refer to the SmartStart documentation included with the server to install the operating system, create updated driver diskettes, and run upgrade utilities. SmartStart Autorun Menu The SmartStart Autorun Menu enables you to access the latest system software directly from the operating system environment, simply by inserting the SmartStart CD into a configured system. The Autorun Menu enables you to install the latest HP ProLiant Support Packs. SmartStart Scripting Toolkit The SmartStart Scripting Toolkit is a set of Microsoft MS-DOS®-based utilities that enables you to configure and deploy servers in a customized, predictable, and unattended manner. These utilities provide scripted server and array replication for mass server deployment and duplicate the configuration of a source server onto target systems with minimum user interaction. Enterprise Diagnostics LX32 Utility The Enterprise Diagnostics LX32 Utility displays information about the server hardware and tests the system to be sure that it is operating properly. Diagnostic Tools
To install the SmartStart software:
