Removal and Replacement Procedures Diskette Drive To remove the component: 1. Power down the server. Refer to "System Power Down" in this chapter. 2. Remove the front bezel. Refer to "Front Bezel" in this chapter. 3. Remove the access panel. Refer to "Access Panel" in this chapter. 4. Remove the hard drive compartment. Refer to "Hard Drive Compartment" in this chapter. 5. Remove the diskette drive: a. Disconnect the cables from the rear of the drive. Refer to "Cable Routing Diagrams" in this chapter. b. Remove the four screws that secure the drive to the compartment. c. Slide the drive out of the bay. Removal and Replacement Procedures
Diskette Drive
To remove the component:
1.
Power down the server. Refer to “System Power Down” in this chapter.
2.
Remove the front bezel. Refer to “Front Bezel” in this chapter.
3.
Remove the access panel. Refer to “Access Panel” in this chapter.
4.
Remove the hard drive compartment. Refer to “Hard Drive Compartment” in this chapter.
5.
Remove the diskette drive:
a.
Disconnect the cables from the rear of the drive. Refer to “Cable Routing Diagrams”
in this chapter.
b.
Remove the four screws that secure the drive to the compartment.
c.
Slide the drive out of the bay.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
