Removal and Replacement Procedures 10. Remove the system board: a. Remove the nine screws securing the system board to the chassis. b. Slide the system board toward the front of the server to clear the four alignment standoffs. c. Gently pull the system board out of the chassis. To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure. IMPORTANT: The server serial number must be re-entered through RBSU after replacing the system board. Removal and Replacement Procedures
10. Remove the system board:
a.
Remove the nine screws securing the system board to the chassis.
b.
Slide the system board toward the front of the server to clear the four alignment
standoffs.
c.
Gently pull the system board out of the chassis.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
IMPORTANT:
The server serial number must be re-entered through RBSU after replacing the system
board. Refer to the “Re-entering the Server Serial Number” section in Chapter 2.
