Removal and Replacement Procedures Hard Drives To remove the component: 1. Power down the server. Refer to "System Power Down" in this chapter. 2. Remove the front bezel. Refer to "Front Bezel" in this chapter. 3. Remove the access panel. Refer to "Access Panel" in this chapter. 4. Disconnect any cabling attached to the drives in the compartment. Refer to "Cable Routing Diagrams" in this chapter. 5. Remove the hard drive compartment. Refer to "Hard Drive Compartment" in this chapter. 6. Remove the hard drive: a. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the screws that secure the diskette drive. b. Remove the two screws on each side of the hard drive to be removed. c. Gently pull the hard drive out of the drive bay. To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure. Removal and Replacement Procedures
Hard Drives
To remove the component:

4.

5.
Remove the hard drive compartment. Refer to “Hard Drive Compartment” in this chapter.
6.
Remove the hard drive:
a.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the screws that secure the diskette drive.
b.
Remove the two screws on each side of the hard drive to be removed.
c.
Gently pull the hard drive out of the drive bay.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
