Rear-facing webcamera NOTE: The rear-facing webcamera and cable are included in the Webcamera Kit, spare part number 740191-001. Before removing the rear-facing webcamera, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power cord from the tablet. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the tablet. 4. Remove the display enclosure (see Display enclosure on page 31). 5. Remove the front-facing webcamera (see Front-facing webcamera on page 36). Remove the rear-facing webcamera: 1. Release the ZIF connector (1) to which the rear-facing webcamera cable is attached, and then disconnect the rear-facing webcamera cable from the system board. 2. Detach the rear-facing webcamera ribbon cable (2) from the display panel assembly. (The rear- facing webcamera ribbon cable is attached to the display panel assembly with doublesided adhesive.) 3. Remove the rear-facing webcamera and cable. Reverse this procedure to install the rear-facing webcamera. Tablet component replacement procedures 37

Rear-facing webcamera
NOTE:
The rear-facing webcamera and cable are included in the Webcamera Kit, spare part
number 740191-001.
Before removing the rear-facing webcamera, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power cord from the tablet.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the tablet.
4.
Remove the display enclosure (see

on page
31
).
5.
Remove the front-facing webcamera (see
Front-facing webcamera
on page
36
).
Remove the rear-facing webcamera:
1.
Release the ZIF connector
(1)
to which the rear-facing webcamera cable is attached, and then
disconnect the rear-facing webcamera cable from the system board.
2.
Detach the rear-facing webcamera ribbon cable
(2)
from the display panel assembly. (The rear-
facing webcamera ribbon cable is attached to the display panel assembly with double-
sided adhesive.)
3.
Remove the rear-facing webcamera and cable.
Reverse this procedure to install the rear-facing webcamera.
