Hardware Setup Connecting the Modem with an Adapter To connect the modem to an analog telephone line that does not have an RJ-11 telephone jack: ✎ Modem cables, modem adapters, and telephone wall jacks vary in appearance by region and country. 1. Turn the tablet PC display-side up on a flat surface near a telephone wall jack. 2.
