Removing the diskette or hard disk drive NOTE: On some models, the primary hard disk drive is located in the internal 3.5-inch drive cage. On other models, the primary hard disk drive is located in the external 3.5-inch drive bay as shown here. 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for Disassembly on page 26). 2. Remove the access panel (Access Panel on page 28). 3. Remove the front bezel (Front Bezel on page 29). 4. Release the diskette (floppy) or hard disk drive by removing the two screws on the side of the drive, and then slide the drive part way out of the front of the chassis. 5. Disconnect the power and data cables from the back of the drive. 2 1 6. Pull the drive out through the front of the chassis. Removing the diskette or hard disk drive

Remove the access panel (

4.
Release the diskette (floppy) or hard disk drive by removing the two screws on the side of the drive,
