BASIC OPERATION 4 DDSelecting a Weather channel (For Only U.S.A. and Australian version transceivers) The transceiver has 10 weather channels. These are used for monitoring broadcasts from NOAA. (National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration) The transceiver can automatically detect a weather alert tone on the selected weather channel, or while scanning. (p. 16) qqPush [CH/WX] once or twice to select a weather channel. • "WX" is displayed when a weather channel is selected. • "WX " is displayed when the Weather Alert function is ON. The transceiver has 10 weather channels. These are used for

•The transceiver has 20 volume levels and OFF.
• The transceiver has 11 squelch levels. OPEN is completely
